STEP 1 · CALL THE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Call the committee members

Members count constituent contacts. Work the list — both committees, starting with the Chairs. Tap a number to call (30 seconds, and it counts even if you're not their constituent). Click “Click to log call” as you go — your progress saves on this device.

First — add your name and email so each call you log is counted (and we can follow up about next steps). It only needs to be entered once.
Are you a constituent of a committee member? That's the most powerful contact you can make.
📞 Your 30-second call script

“Hi, my name is [your name], and I'm a constituent calling from [your city]. I'm asking the Assemblymember to vote AYE on SB 1090 — and to make it effective as soon as possible.

SB 1090 puts a narrow, temporary pause on urban lot splits in Altadena, protecting responsible and resilient recovery pathways while taking no housing away. We deserve parity and should have the same protection as the Palisades. Second, it should not be easier for a developer to build than for a survivor to rebuild.

And we support the amendment that allows SB 9 projects for 100% deed-restricted low-to-moderate-income affordable housing — so Altadena can rebuild the income diversity that makes it special and bring renters and working families home.

Please vote AYE on SB 1090 and make it effective as soon as possible. Thank you.”

Reach voicemail? Leave the same message — name, city, and “please vote AYE on SB 1090, and make it effective as soon as possible.” It still counts.
